can i return an automobile once i've signed the contract and taken delivery of the vehicle, even if it is not a ''lemon'' and if so, how long do i have to return the vehicle?

You mention a contract- read it. It tells you the terms you agreed to, and whether or not you can return the vehicle for a refund/cancellation. Mosts will not include such a provision.

Unless you buy a vehicle with a money back guarantee (and very few dealers offer it) you owened it the second you signed. You cannot return cars.
