Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
bill stopped, but not service
A while back I returned parts for cable modem service.Told them to quite service, and therefore billing.Problem is fact billing stopped for internet/television,but they did not stop reception for television. A postcard was sent telling them their error.Never heard back.Happened a LONG time back.Feel someday they make want payment for service dating way back. May be willing to pay new install fee, if they ever bother to contact me.

Re: bill stopped, but not service
You should contact them directly by phone and ask to speak to a decision maker. You don't want to take the chance that they think that your service is still on the books and then send you a bill with late fees, etc. Then, send a certified letter confirming the phone conversation.
Re: bill stopped, but not service
Hopefully you saved a copy of the postcard (a postcard is not really a proper way to terminate service; a letter with return receipt would have been better). I'd suggest you show them a copy of the postcard.
