Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I bought a pre owned 2010 Acura TSX a few years back from a Acura dealership in Augusta, ga. From the start I was concerned with the oil consumption. I was told by the service manger it was not using enough to be worried about. Later on I did more consumption testing with them. I qualify for Acura to fix this problem. Seems like I am getting the runaround now. I have been waiting for over a month now. And the service manger never returns my calls. I have to catch him to talk to him. Well today my car isn't running at all. Do you think I should seek representation?

When you buy a used car, any repairs or problems are yours the instant you sign the contract unless you have a warranty. This is why all used cars should be checked out by an independent mechanic who likely would have uncovered the problem since it was there from the beginning. Without that, it was your risk. You mention qualifying for a repair from Acura but provide no details on a warranty, recall, etc. You would hire a lawyer to enforce a legal right you had for repairs, which would come from the warranty, recall or other program. You didn't tell us what exactly that is. If it is something from Acura, rather than a dealer, then contact Acura and see if it can be done at a different dealer.
