Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I bought a 85 suburban from a dealer in fl while I was deploy and I had buddy ask about the condition of the truck he verified that the truck was machanicly Sound when I had it shipped up here in ga I drove the truck for less then 300 miles and the transmission burnt up I contacted the dealer and he is willing to rebuild the transmision if we remove it and ship it to him at our expense because it would cost them only about $400 but we have a guy here in ga that could do it for about $1500 but that is him pulling the transmission and rebuilding and reinstalling it which is a really good price compared to the other estimates we want to know if we can get the truck fixed here and they would still have to pay or what we have to do to make that happen
Thanks for your time and help

Unless you bought a warranty, you bought the car as is. The dealer has NO duty to you. If they are willing to chip in on the repairs, you're lucky. They don't have to.
When you buy a vehicle as is the seller is warning you that it may be a lemon. Never buy such a car without paying your own mechanic to inspect it. Even then, you take a chance.
