Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
cancelled check
My friends vehicle was painted without consent because a price for services was never agreeded upon. The service was $4,000.00 and paid by check. Is it legal to cancel the check?

Re: cancelled check
Why was it paid by check if the price was not agreed upon? Moreover, many more facts are necessary to determine whather or not there was an agreement. Stopping payment on a check can lead to serious civil, and even criminal, consequences. No one can guess what is proper or improper based on your post.
Re: cancelled check
Your post doesn't make sense, as no one would write a check unless they knew what amount to write, and that would mean an agreement.
Stopping payment could have civil and criminal consequences, and given teh amount, the criminal ones would be a felony.
