Used Car Return
I purchased a suv from a local dealership on aug.9 2004.I returned it due to faulty brakes/handeling on aug.9 2004 The dealership is saying that i can't return it and flamk the contract.Is there a law that can help ?

I assume you bought the car with an AS IS sticker. That is a federal statute that exists to warn you NOT to buy a car. AS IS means the you own it no matter what, and that the dealer is refusing to stand behind it and isn't even sure if it will run.
No one should ever buy a car as is unless they first have it inspected by their own mechanic or unless the dealer will write a money back guarantee long enough to allow you to do that inspection.
So, no, you can't return it legally.
Some dealers, however, may care about their customers more than others. Arrange a meeting with the owner or manager of the dealership and see if they might do a concession to customer for good will and perhaps do a free or discounted repair for you. If you are very polite, and it's a good dealer, they may. Perhaps for example, if you'll pay for parts, they might agree to pay labor.
