Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I took my car to get new tires put on at a local shop. Later on I had my TPMS light flashing. I went to the dealership to have it looked at and found out one sensor was missing completely. Dealership said they had to replace and reprogrammed. I told them to go ahead and do it. I went back to the tire shop for a reimbursement of the missing sensor along with installation and reprogramming. Tire shop owner refused paying stating I didn't go to them first to resolve it. They admitted fault since they were the last shop to have handled the tires. Can I sue for the amount that I paid to get if fix knowing that it is practically their fault? Was I wrong in fixing it first? Regardless, the dealership said they still had to reprogram it anyway. So what should I do? Am I just out of cash for their mistake and act like it never happened just because I was proactive in fixing it myself?

You probably should have gone to the shop first. A suit isn't a slam dunk win, costs you money and takes time and you may do better doing a better business bureau complaint first.
