Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I had my car towed to a local repair shop and asked them to put my car on the diagnostic machine to find out what was wrong with it, i never gave them permission to work on the vehicle, they took the car apart did not fix the car and when i went to pick up the vehicle they charged me for work I did not authorize. The car is not working but they are holding the car hostage. My question to you is that legal. I did Not sign anything.

You made a huge mistake in NOT signing anything. You NEVER take a car to any repair place without doing a SIGNED work order on which you specifically limit what they can do. Otherwise you gave them a blank check. Pay them. You've learned an expensive lesson as to what every car owner should do when they need repairs. They have a lien on the car until you pay (and they can charge you storage so the longer you wait the more this costs you).
