Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Can a city water company keep a security deposit until you disconnect the service or do they have to return it while you are still a customer? I called and was told that unless I have a PERFECT credit, but they did not tell the meaning of "perfect". I leave in Cobb County (Marietta). Is it legal?

Of course it is legal for them to get a security deposit. Another queston would be why would you expect them to return it now, while you still have service? They asked for a deposit for a reason.
