Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
company won't remove garbage container
I was able to purchase a new house in June by agreeing to finish the construction myself. The house needed an upstairs bathroom completed and the HVAC work completed. At the time of closing a roll off container was on the property.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzi called the company and asked them to pick up their container and was rudely told they would not because the contractor who was working on the house has not paid them.
I told them this had nothing to do with me and to come get their container. They said they would put a lien on my house and if they did come get their container they intended to dump all the contents onto my property.
What are my rights to have this removed? Can I claim abandonment?

Re: company won't remove garbage container
Consult with a local attorney. This may be complicated, and, yes, they may be able to file a lien against your property.
