Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Customer service was bad we don't want this car

My husband and i went to purchase a used car on 4/30/05 the deal was not complete until yesterday 5/2/05 when my husband signed the final papers. It was understood that the car dealer would clean the car up and service it for us and we could pick it up the next morning. Because of less than good service from the dealership about us picking up the car(frankly we were given the run around and the car was not ready when they said it would be then no one bothered to call us we had to drive all the way to the dealer ship in another county not knowing if the car was ready) we decided that we did not want to keep this car. We have signed a contract but we never received the car can we get out of this contract. We went to the dealer and explained that we did not want to keep this car and they said we had to stay in the contract we left the car at the dealer ship and continued to state we do not want this car. Can we get out of this contract legally without this scarring our credit or are we stuck with this car????

I would have to review the contract in order to give you a complete answer, but there is a good chance you will have to adhere to the contract if they fulfilled all their obligations under the contract.

It all depends on the wording of your contract. You need to consult with a local attorney who can review it and see if you have an out.
