Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
dealership wrote the wrong amount for pay-off on trade-in on contract. They showed where it was wrote down on another paper as being correct when they called to verify the payoff. Now they are saying that I have to pay the $500 difference. pay-off $5530. on contract the put $5035.

Do you have a question? We do not have the documents. If you have a binding contract that spells out the deal, they prepared the contract and entered the numbers, and signed it, you can probably tell them that you made a deal and plan on sticking to it and you expect them to stick to it. If you believe that it was a simple error on their part and they propose to fix it with the real payoff number, you can also agree to that and not take advantage of someone else's mistake (as you would want them to do if it was your mistake). If you have financing with the dealer or other outstanding issues, you might expect problems with those items.
