Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
defendant will not pay court ordered damages
Judge awarded (Plaintiff) me damages plus court costs, however the defendent will not submit payment unless I sign a release. Although I sued one company, their attorney has demanded I sign three releases. One for the party named in the suit and two for parties not named in the suit.
Am I required to sign releases for parties not named in the suit? If they refuse to pay, do I have recourse?

Only the lawyer who is representing you could possibly answer as he would be familiar with the pleadings and details of your case.
Re: defendant will not pay court ordered damages
No one here knows anything about your case. There would usually be no requirement to sign a release, but their lawyer is probably representing them well by requesting them. If they do not pay, you have the normal collection alternatives. If you have no further claims against any of them, it might be good to sign and take the money and get it over with. Again, we do not know the facts, as their lawyer does.
