Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Dentist charging 200% of estimate legal?
My dentist gave me an estimate to
repair my teeth for $1956, then
charged me over 200% more without
ever discussing it and without my
knowledge as these so-called charges
were incurred. Is this legal???

Did the dentist put the estimate in writing? If so, have the written estimate reviewed. If not, then it will be your word against the dentist's (and probably his/her staff). Consult with a local attorney.

The key word is "estimate." Your provide no facts to indicate the dentist was bound to that estimate.
