Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Dispute Resolution
8 days ago I signed a 2 year agreement with a career advancement firm, and paid a large sum of money up front. I have since decided that I do not want to be a client of theirs, and would not have signed the agreement in the first place except for the fact that I was pressured to do so. The agreement does not say anything about cancellations of the agreement, only that arbitrations would be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the Federal Arbitration act. Do I have any Federal rights that would allow me to receive a refund?
Thanks

No.
Re: Dispute Resolution
I'm afraid not. I think you need to bite the bullet. However, having paid the money, I would milk their program for all it's worth. Then, if in the course of your dealing with them, they, e.g., don't live up to promises made, you may have a case to void the contract for false misrepresentations. Document EVERYTHING. Consult a local attorney.
