Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
fair debt collection act
A collection agency (NCO) has called me each day or a month over a past due credit card bill. Three times they have spoken to me and then called back the same day. I faithully have kept the name of each caller and the times of the calls. I understand that a third party collector cannot speak to their ''target'' more than once a day. Since they have violated this three times... can I do anything about it? Can I sue? Turn them in to FTC? Any suggestions?

Re: fair debt collection act
You can google FDCPA and calls per day to get more information -- and the correct information -- on limits on calling (and other information). However, resolving the underlying issue -- your debt -- is probably the best way to resolve the calling and your obligation.
