Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Finding other complaints about a company

Hi!

I purchased a new hardwood floor and it had powder-post beetles. The co. that sold it to me took months to admit this and finally removed all the infested floors and put in new ones. In those months, the beetles infested other parts of the house. The NC inspector told us to tent and we are fumigating this next week, for what we are paying over 20,000 dollars. How do I find out if this company also sold infested wood to other people? Is there a place online where I can find any past judgments or complaints made against this company? (The co. is in GA and we are in NC) Thank you, Maria

For complaints, you could check the Atlanta Better Business bureau: http://www.atlanta.bbb.org/ For judgments, you will need to have someone check the clerk's records in the county where they are located, as well as the nearest U.S. District Court to where they are located. You might start with an attorney in that county.
