Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Used Fridge not working
I bought a used fridge from a small (hole in the wall) business and was guaranteed that it would work and if it didnt then I have a 3-month warranty. When I got it to my office it didnt work, its been plugged in for 2 days now. I looked at the receipt and noticed they wrote no refund and I dont remember signing anything for the 3-month warranty, I believe it was verbal. I was with a co-worker and his 12-year-old daughter who also heard him tell me that it has a 3-month warranty. My question to you is, since they wrote no refund on the receipt where do I stand if they decide not to take it back or at the least exchange it?

Re: Used Fridge not working
You're stuck legally. The written document controls. Unless you received a warranty in writing there isn't one.
I'd still call the business, and, they might still help you for good will sake.
