Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I gave a man a deposit on agolf cart and we agreed on a price, hours later his wife called wanting to charge more for the cart, can they do this?

It is not "can they do this?" From your post, they did it. You can "insist" they honor the deal and see if they do it, or demand they give you your money back. If you want to force them to honor the deal, is it worth the time, trouble and expense of a lawsuit (you can't use mall claims to force a sale)? Not likely. What proof do you have, since you mention no written document? Do you really want to buy something from people who do this? Sometimes it is best to simply move on to another seller, and don't spend time on legal threats you are not going to do. Your area no doubt has many golf carts available.
The answer depends on your written bill of sale. What does it say?
Having said that, run like hell from this seller. Deal with someone reputable instead.
