If i give a deposit on goods i am purchasing from a retailer how long does the retailer have to provide the goods

What was your contract or agreement with the retailer, and the other terms of the transaction? You should have this information, and you should have known the answer before you gave them the deposit. We don't know what your agreement is.

I am not sure why you are asking here since you have the piece of paper with the answer and none of the lawyers here has seen it. They have however long the written sales paperwork says. If you were foolish and specified no period of time, then it's completely up to them.
