Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Hello,

I bought a used car (2008 Honda Accord) 10 days ago in Georgia. I just took it to the shop because a couple days after I bought it the brakes started squeeking. The mechanics told me the brakes and rotors need to be replaced immediately, they checked all fluids to find there was no oil, antifreeze, transmission oil, wiper fluid, and the list goes on to also include oil on the transmission. The oil life inside the car stated it was at 100% before I entered the shop. When I left (after they added 2 quarts of oil) it stated 90%, which leads me to believe they tampered with the controls. The mechanics suggested I return the car.

I also have learned in the last 10 days that the CD player doesn't work, it was involved in an accident in 2009 and they didn't even check the tires because the light came on yesterday to inform me that either the tire pressure is low or a sensor is bad.

My question to you is what are my rights as a used car buyer and can I return it to Marietta Auto Sales even though I bought it as is?

"As is" means just that. Virtually everything you mentioned could have been discovered with an inspection before you purchased the car. It was your choice to buy it without getting it thoroughly checked out.

As is is federally required warning that you may be buying a lemon. It means what it says (and the form said that). You own the problems, and cannot return the car. It is very dangerous to buy as is cars and no one should ever buy one without an inspection in advance. Since you chose to save $100, you now have an expensive problem and no legal remedy.
