Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
our home got forclosed on after we seperated. husband declared bankruptcy w/o my knowlage. USDA sent me (Addressed to me, in my name) a letter stating they were forgiving the debt they underwrote on the house. then they sent me a letter stating I owed the debt. can I fight this?

His bankruptcy has no effect on your liability on a debt. Either you owe it or you don't, and since none of us have seen the paperwork, there's no way to answer you except to tell you that if you owe it you owe it.
