Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Our Jack Russell was attacked by a Labrador Retriever in the culdesac of our neighborhood. Neither dog was on a leash. We had to take our dog to the emergency vet. Our bills totaled over $2,000 and the owner of the Lab paid a portion of the bill. Could we pursue this further and get the balance of the vet bills

You can "pursue" anything, but no one here knows the details other than your side of the story that your dog was "attacked," You also have the problem that your dog was not on a leash, which may be a violation of the law, depending on where you live. Finally, whether you want to pursue something with a neighbor (presumably), with these facts, is something you'll have to decide.
