Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Judgment-Pay-off loan or not?
A family member of mine recently received a default judgment regarding a vehicle that still has a lien on it. The judge told her that his ruling would not be valid until she returns the vehicle. My question is, to whom does she return the vehicle, the bank (whom possession of the title is in) or the dealership (against whom the complaint was filed?) Also, is part of her settlement required by law to pay off the remainder of the loan, or since she is without a vehicle, allowed to be put towards a new vehicle?

It's hard to advise you from the info you have provided. You should consult with a local attorney who can review the judge's order.
