Paid deposit by PayPal within a couple of hours of auction close. terms were deposit within 48 hours, final payment within 7 days of auction close. once paid buyer can pick up at their own will. I left email via ebay with contact phone number, work and cell numbers. Seller will not contact me. I've called ebay, they are no help, they say I can request a refund of my deposit via paypal now or wait to see if the seller responds, but wait no longer than 29 days to file for a refund,or I lose my deposit. advice please? If you haven't already figured it you have almost certainly been scammed by a criminal. You are probably not going to get a trailer.
You don't ever buy a big ticket item long distance on ebay, Craigslist etc. It will almost always be problematic. There is no way anyone would or should ever buy a trailer or vehicle they have never seen.
Enlist eBay's help to seek a refund. And the next time you want a trailer, shop locally where you can actually check out the item and the seller.
Consider yourself lucky to even get a refund. Why would it ever seem like a good idea to risk even your deposit in a situation like that? It makes no sense. Get the refund.
