Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
misleading sales practice
last jan. i rented a laptop computer from a local rental company, i was told the laptop was new one and had been rented previously for only one month,it appeared to be in good shape so i rented it. 9 months later it began to have warranty issues and to my dismay i discovered that it was a re-manufactured laptop.the salesperson who sold it to me upon questioning told me she did not know anything about that and that she thought it was new when she sold it,today she claims everything they rent is remanufactured zzzzz.my contract only has the discription of ''pre-rent'' on it and nothing about being re-manufactured---what can i do? i don't think ishould be paying a new price for a rebuilt comp. thx

Re: misleading sales practice
Remanufactured computers are common and usually excellent quality (and under warranties). Whether you have a claim depends on your contract. What the salesman said is irrelevant. Since I have not read your contract I can't tell you if the terms were violated.
