Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Mortgage Lender Refused Payment
I am 2 payments late on my mortgage. Before it became 3 payments late (payment due on 3-01 grace period to 3-15)I called to make a payment and at that time I specified that i would be catching up the back payments beginning 4-01 the lender stated that we were THREE payments past due and that they would not accept a payment from me. They also said that if i mailed the payment they would send it back. What are my rights now?

Re: Mortgage Lender Refused Payment
The mortgage company may have already determined that you are in default and may be planning to proceed with foreclosure. You should consult with a local attorney ASAP.
