Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Am I obligated to the contract, if the other party added an extra step (not in the contract) in order to start charging my c/c?

Jun/13 - Signed a contract with a travel club network. Paid 1/3 upfront and financed the rest in 36 monthly payments through my c/c. The club never started charging my c/c. Dec/13, the company in charge of the billing department, explained I needed to verify via phone the agreement about charging my c/c and now I owed them 6 months. I explained they NEVER mention this extra step and it's not in the contract. We came to a deal... I'd pay 2 months, they'd waive the rest, and would start charging my c/c from now on. Paid 2 months right way on my c/c. Next day, the "supervisor" called saying it was a mistake, and asked if I've never made a mistake in my life. (Yeah.. signing this contract). Contacted the original company, they said they'd take care of this many times. Found out it's in collection now. FURIOUS!

You obviously been scammed (all travel clubs are either scams or bad deals, but you have likely gotten hit by one of the bad apples). The important thing and you left it out is do you have those promises in writing? Oral promises did not happen, so forget those. I hope you documented everything to death. You need those papers now. In the meantime dispute the bill with your credit card company and hire a lawyer. You now need one.
