Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Overdrawn Charges
If you have paid all of your outstanding balance on an account, then the company sends you a bill for a late charge (which you ignore because the account has been paid in full) but the late charges start coming, on the late charge. Are all these late charges legally collectable and do they go on your credit report if not paid?
Thank You for your help.

Re: Overdrawn Charges
The charges are collectible if they are valid. You did not provide a single fact with which to determine whether they are valid. Either way, it was unquestionably a huge mistake to ignore bills. Errors should be addressed immediately, or under the terms of your card agreement, you may lose your right to contest charges. Moreover, in all likelihood, late payments for a credit card will go on your credit report. This was a very irresponsible way to handle finances.
