Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I paid a nissan dealership $100 to check a used car out for me. they pointed out a few things. but did not mention that my transmission was bad. two weeks later my transmission went out. are they liable? if i had known it needed a new transmission i would have never bought the car.

For that much money, I would not have expected a dealer to do a thorough inspection, including pulling out the transmission. What was the agreed-upon scope of work? Further, what did the paperwork say? Was there any warranty? That is unlikely.

Unless you have a contract that says they are liable, I think it is rather unlikely a court would find any liability.
