Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I had some parts powdered coated about a year. Recently I noticed that the coating was peeling off. Went back to the company that had did the work and found out the company was sold to another individual but had kept the original name. I spoke to the new owner and the painter that complete the work both admitted the problem was due to parts not being cleaned properly. The new owner tells me he is not responsibility for any
work completed in the past. My question is, is this true and if not do I have a legal leg to stand on? Thank you

Unless the new business bought the assets AND liabilities of the old business, the new business has no liability. That is information he may not share with you but is more likely to share with a lawyer. Even if he did, absent some warranty, you may not have a claim (so that paperwork ALSO matters). If this involves a lot of money, see a lawyer.
