Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

product warranty when business ownership changes

I have a 10 year warranty on windows I purchased for my home in Georgia 1993 to replace windows that were frosting between the lays of insulated glass. The windows have again begun to frost in between the lays of insulate glass. I was advised by the owner of the glass companyin Ohio that sold to me and installed the replacement winddows, that he purchased the business after my installation and did not take on the warranty responsibilities of the previous owner.

What factors would allow him to void the warranty provided under the companies name, when ownership changes hands?

Re: product warranty when business ownership changes

The warranty flows with the successor business, unless there is some language in the fine print to the contrary.
