Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
purchased used vehicle, dealer whent bankrupt.
I purchased a used vehicle from a dealership that two weeks later whent bankrupt. The finance company cannot get the title for the vehicle, apparently it is in my name but does not show them as a lien holder. I wish to return this vehicle to the finance company. I feel there has been a breech of contract since they can not get my title. I have given them a down payment and one months payment for the vehicle. I just want to end contract and will even sign whatever paper work they need to recover title for themselves.. Will I be able to do this or am I still bound to the Buyers agreement?

Re: purchased used vehicle, dealer whent bankrupt.
I don't think the finance company has the duty to provide your title. That is the responsibility of the seller. Contact the Trustee in bankruptcy about filing a Notice of Claim in the bankruptcy proceeding.
