Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I purchased an xbox 360 from a guy on Craigslist, who said it worked perfectly, however the console has been banned fom xbox live so it cannot use this feature. He claims he did not know, but will not make good on the unit, and says if I contact him again he will get me for harrassment. Can I make a charge against him for fraud?

You took the risk of buying something used on Craigslist. How much time and money is it worth to spend on a lawsuit to try to get back how much?
Forgetting the obvious question (why would anyone trust someone they did not know who was selling on a site as full of scams as Craigslist) you have two choices:
(1) You can go to Magistrates Court, file a small claims suit, go to court, hope you win, and then try and figure out how to collect a judgment for the price of an xbox.
or
(2) You can chalk it up to experience.
There's no crime, unless you keep calling him, in which case you probably will get arrested.
