Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
i received a hair color service from a hairdresser, the next day I knew it was not what i liked or wanted written a check for 70.00 that included a 5.00 tip. That next day i called her and told her i was not happy with the color it was too red, with large blocks of blond. SHe seemed unhappy but we made arrangements for me to return the next day. When I went back she was very unprofessional and quite embarrassing to me in front of several people about the color. I kept repeating its too red I want light brown, after several times going to the back coming out saying things to me about this isnt going to be free, etc.. I told her I made a mistake I should never have come back, this is embarrassing to me and this arguing in front of people was just not right and I left. I cancelled payment on the check deteremined I will pay her for product only, I got my hair recolored by someone else. Now I have a registerd letter demanding payment or she'll get a warrant for theft of services. Legally where do I stand?

Pay them. You take the risk every time you get a hair cut (or receive any other personal service) they you won't like the result. If you are not satisfied, you can go somewhere else the next time. Rarely will the correct response be to stop payment on the check when you did receive service (even if you did not like it). Avoid many more problems and pay them.
