Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
want refund
I have paid $1,398.00 for laser hair removal. It pays for 7 sessions 10 wks apart. I have had only one session and the next one is in May. I have had some changes in my life where I will be moving out of state in the next two weeks. Where I'm moving there is no location of this business. I would have to drive to another state to find one. There is nothing in the rules that explains rules of a refund. I did call them and they said that I was not able to get a refund. Do I have any rights?

Re: want refund
Where there is no provision for a refund in the paperwork or contract, or otherwise posted in the business, there is generally no right to a refund. This is a matter best discussed before entering into the agreement.
Re: want refund
No. It is like signing a lease on an apartment and then you get transferred to another city. Unless the lease (or, in your case, the contract) provides for cancellation, you are stuck.
