Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Rights for Services Not Peformed

We have had problems with our Garbage Collection company for approx. 7 months, where they failed to pick up in a timely manner our trash, on a weekly basis. Now they (with no notification) have decided to no longer service our area, and refuse to pick up the trash that has been sitting on the driveway for about a week now. They also have not compensated us to our satisfaction (previously only offered 2 weeks refunded) and we had already paid them for future services, that will now not be happening. What are our rights as far as having them pick up our trash and refunding our money?

Re: Rights for Services Not Peformed

Unless you had a written contract, you only owe them for the 7-month period and only owe you service for the same period. You can sue them in small claims court for services what were paid for but not delivered.
