Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
selling car with title pending
I am selling a car but and have someone interested but I owe more than I am asking for car.I am in the process of getting a loan to pay off remaining amount (I have the loan approved but it is taking some time to have the transaction go through),but can I go ahead sell the car and draw up some legal documents stating that I will hand over the title once the loan has been paid in full?Meaning that the buyer will be protected and be assured he will get the title.

You can't sell the car (i.e., transfer the title) until you have free and clear title.

You need clear title first.
