Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I signed on for a gym in 2007 in Georgia. I signed a 2 year agreement in the process. Few months after they went out of business. unknown to me my account was sold to another Gym in the neighbourhood. This new Gym has been charging my bank account with the monthly payment for about 2 years. I am now taking them to court because I did not sign any contract with them. The original contract does not have a clause that says my account can be tranferred to another service provider. This Gym is now telling me that they had the right in Georgia to buy another Gym's member with or without my consent provide it is within 10 miles from the location of the original Gym and I am duly notified. We are already in litigation. What are my rights?

Since no one here has read your contract there is no way to answer you. See a lawyer and bring the contract.
