Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I am in the state of Georgia and I have a personal loan that is secured by a certificate of deposit in my father's name. He signed only as a non-obligor, not a co-signer.
Is he allowed to contact the bank and receive transaction history i.e, payment history, late charge history without my permission to the bank?

Possibly yes, depending on what was signed when the loan was taken out. By putting up his asset as collateral he IS liable if you don't pay (a bad idea for him, but unless he was foolish he insisted on the right to get payment information at the time he pledged this). It is really strange that you are asking since he did you a great favor here, and if you are paying late, you are doing potential harm to him.
