Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia

Store Refused to Honor Challenge

A major chain store had a double the difference policy and refused to honor their advertisement. If a consumer found the same product at a lesser price within thirty days and within certain mileage they would pay double of whatever the difference was. I have the exact products, the original receipts, and the store generated advertisement.

This was no brainer/no hassle deal. The store refused to do as published. This was 2 years ago. I want the policy honored. What can I do? I have contacted my states consumer office and the company to no avail. The company has been in business in my residential state for aout three years, however they have a 51 year history. The company sales electronics, household supplies, etc. It is a major employer. Since my unfortunated incident the double the guarantee policy has changed!

I want justice. Can I legally picket the store, purchase advertisement advising consumers not shop there or do you have any suggestions. Thanks

Re: Store Refused to Honor Challenge

From a legal standpoint, this happened 2 years ago. Your chances of any kind of legal satisfaction are next to nothing. The time to address it was 2 years ago. This sounds much more like a personal grudge, so to that I will only say that as long as you stick to the facts, you can tell as many people as you want about the 2 year old incident.
