Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Can i sue a storage unit for back rental when they have blatantly overcharged me for the past 5 years? when i rented the unit, it was $48 for a 10 x 15 in 2005. it was up to $175 a month 12/09. the unit is in atlanta, ga, i am in las vegas, nv. recently i decided to move my property to nv, went online for prices and found that a 10x15 rents for $110 and a 10x30 rented for $169. sent a letter to the company & their very nervous rep called me, offering to give me a $100 but said they could not go back that far and adjust the overpayments. i declined that offer. do i have grounds for a suit?

Storage companies can charge whatever they want and you could have cancelled at any time. Unless you had a written contract, no, you can't sue.
