Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I have a title loan with titlemax i asked to let me pay by wenesday and they said they will not do that and if i do not trun the car in by tomorrow they can issue a bench warrent for me is that true

This question may have gone through LawGuru a little late to help you. The title company cannot issue a bench warrant for your arrest (as the title company is not a judge), but the title company can report the car missing to the police and then a warrant may be issued for your arrest.

In addition to what Phillip said, the threat to use criminak sanctions in a civil dispute may be a violation of federal law. If you can prove they said it, you may have grounds to sue.
