Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
I had to have my transmission rebulit. The old one had a line that got cut by the alternator pulley which caused it to run out of fluid. The mechanic gave me a 90 day warranty. 3 weeks later the transmission went out again. The other transmission line was cut by another moving part of the engine. The mechanic says he will not honor the warranty because it was not the same line that was cut and repaired the first time. Can he do this to me?

No one here has a copy of your warranty or knows the terms, since you did not tell us. In addition, obviously no one here can diagnose your engine based on a couple of sentences. "The other transmission line was cut by another moving part of the engine" does not tell us why the mechanic should be liable.
Depends on the terms of the warranty. What did the express language of the warranty cover EXACTLY?

Since I haven't seen the language of the warranty, there's no way to answer.
If you think he has violated the warranty, you can make a complaint to the Georgia State Office of Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau.
