What type of attorney would I need if I want a school to produce a certified copy of my transcript so that I may verify that I have taken and received credit for classes they say I owe them for?

An attorney is not going to be able to get that unless there is a lawsuit. If the school is suing you, you could serve discovery.
All of this raises a more fundamental question as you didn't give us any facts or tell us what teh real dispute is (which would have gotten a more useful answer). Surely you know if you did or did not attend, and know if you do or do not owe them money. With that information, an attorney could give you far more useful advice.
