Legal Question in Consumer Law in Georgia
Unordered merchandise ?
Recently I ordered an item from a merchant online. I was billed for the item and received it the Friday after Christmas. Then on 1/3/07 I received another of the same item, the second item doesn't show on my account with the merchant, but enclosed was a receipt, and I havn't been billed. I have heard of ''unordered merchandise'' but does this fall under that law? I know the morally I should return it right away, but after dealing with this company I really wouldn't be sad for their loss.

Re: Unordered merchandise ?
A shipping mistake from a business from which you ordered does not mean "unordered merchandise" you can keep. As for the "right" thing to do - it isn't based on what the other party does.
