Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia
Can an agency still collect on this debt?
Recently a credit card debt case brought against me in court was dismissed without prejudice. Can a collection agency still collect on this debt? When can I have it removed from my credit report?

The collection agency can still attempt to collect on the account. You can challenge the report in your credit report with the credit agency and presumable use the same argument that got your case dismissed, if not on a technicality.

A dismissal without prejudice usually means the case can be refiled against you.
A debt can be reported on your history for up to 7 years, so if it is not that old, it will remain.
