Bill collection

When a collection agency try to collect a bill but you can't use a credit card and they will not send you a billing statment so you can mail them a check, i am trying to pay this bill but they want my credit card number or bank account number, that i am not giving out over the phone, what can i do.

See a lawyer. Never ever talk to a bill collector by phone. And never ever give them a credit card or checking number.
