breach of contract

i had an oral agreement w/someone. the bills are in my name but the debt is this other persons. they stopped making the payments. i have statements showing the charges were made for and/or by the this person. can i make them pay? im about to be sued for the debt because the payments are so far behind & i cant make the payments? what are my options besides filing bankrupt?

It is very hard to prove oral agreements in court. Regardless of what claim you may have, the lender only can sue you.
