in 2006, age 18, I signed contract w/fitness ctr. for 2 yr. I cannot go anymore; attempted to cancel for last 3 mo.; 3 ways: die, disabled, moe 35 mi. away from home. they are chargeing me''manual ''billing'' charges 4x mo in addition to mo charge of $29. acct was paid up till June, now they've added cancellation fee of $75. how can I get out of paying these additional charges and cancel contract? the sales mgr. told me when I signed I could cancel contract at any time.

You reference the contract - that is what you agreed to with respect to early termination and other matters.

Nothing the manager said matters. Your rights are in the contract. If it allows you to cancel, whatever the contract says applies. If it does nota llow you to cancel or sets fees, you are bound by those. If the center is breaking the contract, hire a lawyer oontact the Georgia Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs.
